Subject:[tt-inc] Short Wave Radio Report

Well, not much to report this month except I did have success contacting Dave, 
VE3DVE, or, rather, he had success contacting me. However, although he could hear 
me all right, I had problems hearing him! When I spoke to my mentor about this, 
he told me to look for more filters on my radio, which could probably help bring 
people in better. Hmm! thought I'd found them all, but maybe not. People seem 
to come in like gangbusters, except for the ones I especially want to contact or 
talk to; hmmm, strange. We are also trying to get the "packet" effort going here. 
It has been stymied for the last few months, but hope to get it all going again 
soon. Falk has re-entered the picture in this regard, a definite plus! It must 
be known, though, that we are on the air and ready here should we be needed. The 
two-metre/450 small radio has a new antenna, which should improve my signal out. 
There are plenty of things which can be done with these radios nowadays--but 
apparently, moon bounce is not one of them. At least it is, but it is very 
complicated and something that I don't think I can do, which is a shame. Things 
do seem to be progressing now, though, more than they are standing still.
