Subject: Hydroponics/Aquaponics - Progress Report

Due to the generous gifts received at the start of the year, a
hydroponic/aquaponic prototype was started which will be housed in the
basement at the headquarters site (my home). Almost all the equipment
has arrived, but has not been setup yet as the Worm Bed construction is
taking precedence.

Suichi Inoue (Ichi) has agreed to return from Japan, at his own expense
(a requirment for getting the B-1 Visa), to develop recipes using
earthworms and the fish and vegies that can be grown in the basement or
family garden. I'm placing great restrictions on Ichi in demanding that
he ONLY use spices and foods that we can grow. No soy sauce :-). This
is a challenge I'm sure he's more than up to, as anyone eating at Ichi's
table knows (he is a professional chef).
